Our dancing started way back in our teenage years at the Palais Royal in Geelong in the 1970's. At the Palais, they played a wide range of music along with many of the traditional dances such as the Barn Dance and the Pride of Erin. During that era they would also have local and interstate bands such as Sherbert and The Stevie Wright Band performing. In the mid to late 1970's, when "Disco" became all the rage we had cars and our licence so we were able to venture further a field to other venues in Geelong such as the Dinosaur and the Waurn Ponds Hotels to "Disco" dance. Our dancing only really stopped when the family arrived. In 2003 we found our new love....
1950's Rock'n'Roll! From then on we travelled all over Australia to Rock and Roll Festivals and Competitions with the family in tow. Our very first competition was 2004 where we won our first 'Beginners' competition. This started our endless passion for competing all over Australia at the highest levels and the continuous pursuit to better our dancing. The past several years have been dedicated to extending our dance styles to include Lindy Hop, Rockabilly and The Harlem and to complete our exams and training to become Qualified Dance Teachers. This we achieved in 2018.
